KOMMISSIONENS FÖRORDNING (EU) 2025/1108
av den 23 maj 2025
om ändring av rådets förordning (EG) nr 2368/2002 om genomförande av Kimberleyprocessens certifieringssystem för den internationella handeln med rådiamanter
EUROPEISKA KOMMISSIONEN HAR ANTAGIT DENNA FÖRORDNING
med beaktande av fördraget om Europeiska unionens funktionssätt,
med beaktande av rådets förordning (EG) nr 2368/2002 av den 20 december 2002 om genomförande av Kimberleyprocessens certifieringssystem för den internationella handeln med rådiamanter (1), särskilt artikel 20, och
av följande skäl:

I bilaga II till förordning (EG) nr 2368/2002 förtecknas de deltagande parterna i Kimberleyprocessens certifieringssystem och deras respektive behöriga myndigheter. |
|
(2) |
På grundval av uppgifter från ordförandeskapet för Kimberleyprocessens certifieringssystem och/eller deltagande parter får kommissionen ändra förteckningen över deltagande parter och deras behöriga myndigheter. |
|
(3) |
Inom ramen för Kimberleyprocessen har man noterat Uzbekistans ansökan om medlemskap och har efter ett expertuppdrag dragit slutsatsen att landet uppfyller certifieringssystemets minimikrav. |
|
(4) |
Att Uzbekistan läggs till i förteckningen över deltagande parter i denna process godkändes i november 2024 i samband med Kimberleyprocessens plenarmöte i Dubai. |
|
(5) |
Bilaga II till förordning (EG) nr 2368/2002 bör därför ändras i enlighet med detta. |
HÄRIGENOM FÖRESKRIVS FÖLJANDE.
Artikel 1
Bilaga II till förordning (EG) nr 2368/2002 ska ersättas med texten i bilagan till denna förordning.
Artikel 2
Denna förordning träder i kraft den tjugonde dagen efter det att den har offentliggjorts i Europeiska unionens officiella tidning.
Denna förordning är till alla delar bindande och direkt tillämplig i alla medlemsstater.
Utfärdad i Bryssel den 23 maj 2025.
