Les présentes Règles uniformes fixent la procédure selon laquelle les véhicules ferroviaires sont admis à circuler ou à être utilisés en trafic international.

These Uniform Rules lay down, for railway vehicles, the procedure for the admission to circulation or use in international traffic.

I dessa enhetliga rättsregler fastställs förfarandet för godkännande av järnvägsfordon för nyttjande i internationell trafik.

§ 1 Pour circuler en trafic international, chaque véhicule ferroviaire doit être admis conformément aux présentes Règles uniformes.

§ 1 Each railway vehicle must, for circulation in international traffic, be admitted in accordance with these Uniform Rules.

§ 1 Varje järnvägsfordon måste för att få nyttjas i internationell trafik vara godkänt i enlighet med dessa enhetliga rättsregler.

§ 2 L'admission technique a pour but de vérifier que les véhicules ferroviaires répondent aux:

a) prescriptions de construction contenues dans les PTU,

b) prescriptions de construction et d'équipement contenues dans le RID,

c) conditions particulières d'admission selon l'article 7a.

§ 2 The technical admission shall have the aim of ascertaining whether the railway vehicles satisfy

a) the construction prescriptions contained in the UTP,

b) the construction and equipment prescriptions contained in RID,

c) the special conditions of an admission under Article 7a.

§ 2 Det tekniska godkännandet ska ha till ändamål att kontrollera att järnvägsfordonen uppfyller

a) konstruktionsföreskrifterna i UTP:n,

b) konstruktions- och utrustningsföreskrifterna i RID,

c) de särskilda villkoren för godkännande enligt artikel 7a.

§ 3 Les §§ 1 et 2 ainsi que les articles suivants s'appliquent par analogie à l'admission technique d'éléments de construction.

§ 3 §§ 1 and 2 as well as the following articles shall apply mutatis mutandis to the technical admission of elements of construction.

§ 3 Vad som sägs i §§ 1 och 2 samt följande artiklar ska också tillämpas på tekniskt godkännande av komponenter.
